Tracy Kromah, the Procurement Assistant of the National Road Fund of Liberia, is currently attending the International Road Federation’s seminar on performance-based contracts for preserving road assets from May 6 to 15, 2024, in Alexandria, Virginia, USA.
The seminar brings together experts in various fields related to highway operations and maintenance, road asset management, public procurement, contract management, public-private partnerships (PPPs), and sustainable development. The seminar’s focus will be on presenting best practices and case studies in performance-based contracting to preserve road assets.
The seminar’s agenda includes a comprehensive five-day program featuring presentations and discussions on performance-based contracts, as well as a two-day program of technical site visits. Participants will have the opportunity to delve into various topics, including the World Bank’s Output and Performance-Based Road Contracts (OPBRC) framework, Standard Procurement Documents (SPDs), and maintenance specifications.
