NRF Explores Training Partnership with Indian Embassy

Monrovia, Liberia – March 5, 2025 – A delegation from the National Road Fund (NRF) of Liberia, led by Chief Administrative Officer Mr. John H. Tokpah, Chief Program Officer Albert K. Samukai, Media Relations Director Emmett P. Coker, Manager’s Assistant Tracy Kromah, and Human Resource Assistant Kenesha M. Taylor, engaged in a strategic meeting with H.E. Amb. Manoj Verma, the Indian Ambassador to Liberia. The discussions, held at the Indian Embassy near Monrovia, centered on exploring training opportunities aimed at bolstering the capacity of NRF staff.

During the meeting, Ambassador Verma emphasized the Indian government’s commitment to supporting both public and private sectors through various short-term training programs. He noted that the embassy is not only well-positioned to support NRF capacity building but also to provide specialized training tailored to the specific capacity needs of the NRF upon request.

Mr. Tokpah, head of the NRF delegation, expressed the NRF’s enthusiasm for this opportunity. “The continuous training of NRF staff is crucial for the effective management of the National Road Fund,” he stated.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties expressing optimism about the partnership that could elevate the NRF to new heights, ensuring that the National Road Fund remains a cornerstone of financing infrastructure in Liberia.
