NRF’s Chief Engineer undergoes intensive road safety training in the USA

Mr. Prince A. Nimrod, the Chief Engineering Officer of the National Road Fund, is currently undertaking a 21-day Road Safety Practitioner certification training in Alexandria, Virginia, USA, organized by the International Road Federation (IRF). This technical training, according to IRF, “is designed to empower professionals with the latest knowledge and skills essential for enhancing road safety in communities”

This capacity-building development, in line with the vision of Mrs. Joseta Neufville Wento, Manager of the National Road Fund, aims to heighten the capacity of NRF staff to meticulously verify and validate road works before processing payments, adhering strictly to the Road Fund Act of 20216.

Since assuming the role as manager, Mrs. Wento has provided five different international training opportunities to NRF staff, with training locations spanning the USA, Italy, Tanzania, and Ivory Coast, further affirming her strong commitment to the continuous capacity development of her staff.
