The National Road Fund (NRF) was established to finance road and bridge maintenance works and associated planning, programming, and management activities. The NRF’s governance includes approving the Annual Road Maintenance Expenditure Program, which involves agencies authorized to undertake road and bridge works in Liberia. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY
The Digital Product Assistant will support the development, management, and optimization of the National Road Fund’s digital platforms, applications, and online communication systems.
The Digital Product Assistant will contribute to building and maintaining digital tools that enhance operational efficiency, data management, and public engagement.
The position will work collaboratively with the ICT Director and Communications Director while supporting the Fund’s digital transformation initiatives and ensuring effective use of digital technologies to support the mission of the National Road Fund.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly under the supervision of the Fund Manager.
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of digital applications and platforms supporting the operations of the National Road Fund.
- Support the improvement and management of internal digital systems, tools, and platforms used for operational reporting and data management.
- Maintain and update the National Road Fund website and related digital platforms.
- Manage and monitor the Fund’s social media and digital communication channels in collaboration with the Communications Director.
- Support the testing, deployment, and monitoring of digital products and platforms developed for the Fund.
- Provide technical support and basic troubleshooting for digital platforms and systems used by staff.
- Assist in collecting and analyzing digital engagement data, including website and social media performance metrics.
- Support the documentation of digital systems, applications, and development processes.
- Conduct research on emerging technologies and digital solutions that can enhance the operations and communication of the National Road Fund.
- Collaborate with the ICT Director and Communications Director to ensure effective integration of digital platforms and communication systems.
Qualifications:
(i) Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Computer Science, or a related field. (A Master’s degree is an added advantage).
(ii) Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in software development, web application development, digital platform management, or ICT systems support, preferably within the public sector, technology organizations, or development institutions.
(iii) Demonstrated experience in designing, developing, or maintaining digital applications, websites, or software platforms.
(iv) Strong understanding of web technologies, digital platform management, database systems, and content management systems (CMS).
(v) Experience managing websites, digital communication tools, and social media platforms, including the ability to analyze digital engagement metrics.
(vi) Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical troubleshooting skills, with the ability to support digital systems and assist users effectively.
(vii) Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including ICT and communications professionals, and effectively communicate technical concepts to non-technical staff.
(viii) Knowledge of digital transformation initiatives, public sector ICT systems, or the road and infrastructure sector in Liberia will be considered an added advantage.
