NRF Highlights 2026 achievements, Projects About US$100 Million in Revenue for 2027

MONROVIA, October 6, 2026 — The National Road Fund of Liberia (NRF) has outlined its achievements in road financing, employment creation and institutional development, while presenting a revenue projection of approximately US$100 million for fiscal year 2027 at the Executive Budget Hearing convened by the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP).
Led by its Manager, Mrs. Joseta Neufville-Wento, the NRF delegation appeared before the hearing on Monday, October 5, 2026, to discuss the Fund’s performance and revenue prospects. The presentation connected ongoing investments in road network.
Among the achievements highlighted was the payment of earth-moving equipment to support road works across Liberia. The presentation also reported the creation of more than 3,000 short-term jobs through NRF-supported activities.
Mrs. Wento further highlighted financing for major road corridors, including the Robertsport–Medina Road. Support for such corridors forms part of the Fund’s wider role in providing resources for road construction, rehabilitation and maintenance.
Beyond road financing, Mrs. Neufville-Wento’s reported that 18 staff benefited from capacity-building opportunities in 2026 alone. These investments were presented as part of efforts to equip personnel to meet the demands of their work and strengthen the NRF’s ability to manage its responsibilities.
In May 2026, the Fund organized the second edition of its Energy and Leadership Masterclass, focusing on leadership, strategic management and petroleum-sector governance. The program addressed institutional capacity and the management of petroleum-derived revenues that help finance road maintenance and rehabilitation.
The presentation also reported a 3% improvement in revenue performance compared with fiscal year 2025.
Looking ahead, the NRF presented projected revenue of approximately US$100 million for fiscal year 2027, based on its projections and key revenue factors. Realizing this outlook would provide a stronger financial base for road-sector investment. The figure remains a forecast, with actual collections dependent on the assumptions underpinning the projection.
