Liberia Revenue Authority Begins Withholding Audit of National Road Fund to Ensure Tax Compliance

Today, April 2, 2024, the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA) embarked on a withholding audit of the National Road Fund (NRF) for the period spanning January 1, 2019, to December 31, 2023. The audit engagement meeting held on this day brought together the LRA team, headed by Mr. Josiah Farr, Manager of the Government and Not for Profit Division, and Mr. James Sumo, Finance Officer leading the NRF team. Mr. Sumo extended a warm welcome to the LRA team and underscored the significance of adhering to tax regulations and maintaining accountability in the management of NRF's financial records. In his remarks, Mr. Farr stressed the critical need for full disclosure and cooperation from NRF to ensure that the audit proceeds smoothly and in compliance with established LRA protocols.
